For FL I vote St. Augustine.

For AZ - I like Sedona. Peaceful, quite. The Red Rocks are magnificent.

Question about that. I see picture of people bikiung to work in Portland (and Seattle) at lot; but, it rains a lot. Do people just go to the office in wet business clothes or do businesses have changing rooms? Just curious.
Just a guess here. Maybe a lot of them wear rain gear when they bike in the rain. The rest? Maybe you are right about your hunches.

If you really want to know, contact the Bureau of Tourism and ask somebody there, the question.
