Oh I didn't know that you were on the UConn payroll too? What dept do you work in?
You lost me... sorry.

If you were PP and your job was on the line, would you keep GD? If you thought DB was a likely replacement for you would you take every effort to keep him, or like to go 6-6 next year with new DC and say "even with new defensive scheme we were able to meet WM's lofty goals of getting into the WhoCares Bowl"?I'm dying here... What possible reason would he do that for - He knows his job is on the line if they don't produce next year and he pushes DB out?

See BlueDogs quote above.
In your book. You likely believe in words, I believe in actions. He left kids he is recruiting and kids who are/were committed to play for him to move a few miles away. If he is as good as a coach as some here make him out to be would he really have been out on the street in a year? Give me a break. And save the assinine comments for 241
Oh - the old conspiracy theory. Got it. Eliminate the guy that may take your job before he gets the chance. This isn't freaking Dunkin Donuts.
Ruskin, you violated a rule of the BY hear no evil, see no evil crowd. You posed a question in the face of a lack of information that may suggest the folks in Storrs are out to lunch in light of known facts. There are notorious offenders that insist on criticizingfor suggesting a problem in the face of manifest repeated failures.
Keep asking and probing, and dont let them get to you. Mind you, there are a few with vested UConn bureaucracy interests (ie.., paycheck takers whose job it is to defend leadership and CYA the University).
Have you been eating breakfast with the Rock Star? Why no comment on keeping GD if PP is concerned about getting fired?
It's sarcasm wrapped around some truth.I want to laugh at your joke......but first you'll have to confirm.....is this a joke?
Hey if your whole conspiracy theories fall apart, why don't you try blaming non-Christians for the whole situation while you're at it?
Jackass.
I don't see a logical train of thougt there, but I'm sure your brilliant PC brainwashed mind does. Have a Merry Christmas.
Maybe she's wiccan? Maybe she's an atheist. Doesn't matter to me. Most of us celebrate Christmas and she ought respect that. I'm sure she'll take the day off.
You're insulted? The majority are supposed to supress their christian faith, because you demand it? Too bad you're insulted. Have a Merry Merry Merry one. P.S. make sure you're not takin Christmas off.You know, when someone who knows you don't celebrate a holiday wishes you a "Merry" one, it comes across as an insult? Did you know that? Way to use your religion in a positive light.
Jackass.
(I think I might have to end every future response to you with this one word because it seems so appropriate each and every time - there isn't anything PC about it though so I hope your thick skin can handle it)
This board is really getting toxic. You would think the events that transpired exactly one week ago as I type would pull people together during the Holiday season. What a sad commentary on society.

Cuz that story is as clear as day... they truly believe (right or wrong) that they can turn it around in another year. I've said before that keeping GDL as a OC is not the right move and PP will live or die by it.
PP alledgedly stalling to tell WM that DB was leaving because he was afraid that he would take his job is not realistic.
Sorry Jimmy (and to others who don't enjoy reading this kind of discourse). After reading about the NRA press conference today and the fiscal cliff lack of progress by our legislators, I don't think we're going to see lots of people pulling together anytime soon. The sides just seem to be too far apart and too interested in hearing from those who agree and reinforce their opinion as opposed to independent thinkers.
When it comes to my religion however, I've seen enough in the past to understand that it doesn't pay to stay silent in the face of antagonism. Maybe someday BlueDogs and others like him will understand the difference between a Federal Holiday and a religious holiday. He's probably still pissed off that Jews like me got to "skip" school for Yom Kippur so we could go stand in a synagogue all day. Lucky us.
Have a great holiday regardless of what you may celebrate.
I don't demand that you suppress anything. You are a private citizen and can do whatever is legal and saying Merry Christmas to whoever you want is certainly fine. Keep in mind however that what you seem to want is for a public official express a religious preference in her communications to the public and are somehow insulted that she doesn't.
As for working on Christmas, as noted above, please learn the difference between a Federal Holiday and a religious holiday.
Jackass.
How do you know what they truly believe, 'cause they said it? Gee, I'll bet PP would be the 1st guy facing the axe to tell his boss "no, just one more year and I'll turn it around". Just like PP told Hathaway "just hire me and my boy GD and we'll have the Uconn offense in the top 110 in only 2 years".
You do know that some guys facing the firing squad actually believe all the guns will jam?
