Time, TV info announced for UConn women’s basketball game vs. Texas in Jimmy V Classic

The UConn Huskies and Texas Longhorns will face off in the Jimmy V Women’s Classic on Sunday, Dec. 3 on ABC.​

This will be the Huskies’ 14th appearance in the Jimmy V event, with a 10-3 all-time record in those games. The Jimmy V Classic, named for legendary college basketball coach Jim Valvano, annually raises money and awareness for the V Foundation for Cancer Research. The women’s event debuted in 2002.

Most likely it will be a nailbiter leading up to the game seeing that there is a game at 1PM, albeit at a different venue, also on ABC. Someday the people in charge of scheduling back-to-back nationally televised games will realize that most competitive games are not over in less than 2 hours.

If the game before is a Men's game then it will go over the allotted time by at least 20 minutes, more if it goes into overtime. If it's a Women's game it should only be a few minutes unless it goes into overtime.
