Well, the fat lady has sung. We won the Championship a year ago and that is the recent memory on which I will focus.

Our team is in a rebuilding year. We need to get behind those who are playing and coaching. I am glad AO is gone and not surprised we have lost Lamb and Drummond.

We needed and have gut the program of the indecisive and ill intentioned and will pay the price for our crime real or not. Next season, I will go to games and route harder for a team that is paying the price for those who took something from them that was not theirs to take. This is almost a 2 year season. The first a practice round for what will be a deep run and hopefully another championship.

That is the way to restore pride and honor to Husky Nation. I am happy again.

The fat lady is using that mouth spray stuff ,and the sky is dark, not falling. However I agree with your post and that the bandwagon needs to be filled to capacity. It is not fair weather by any means and what this team gave its fanbase over the years, how can anyone jump ship? I will be cheering with you.

I'm always excited for every new season watching the game I love played at a high level. Some years are better than others but the sights and sounds of the arena will always get me coming back. Plus if it's a choice between yard work and watching the Huskies......that's easy....GOOOOO HUSKIES!!!!!!! Can't wait for the new season!

It's going to be a small, but quick, veteran and (hopefully) scrappy team made up of a bunch of guys who stuck with the program despite one of the worst possible sentences from the NCAA. That alone should make this a group that's pretty easy to root for.

It also isn't a roster completely devoid of talent. Our guards are still awfully good and we still have a stable of 6'7'' - 6'8'' guys on the wing that can do some things.

We still have 4 guys who were top 50 recruits on our roster. A lot of schools would kill for that.

We are going to be pretty good next year. Two great guards- RS, TO and DD should be solid. If people are worried about next year they better stick to decaf once JC leaves because things will take time to ramp back up to the level we are used to the last 12 years.

The difference next year hopefully will be chemistry. It can carry you a long way- lots of Mid Majors of there doing well and the reason is that you do not have to be the most talented team but you do have to be a team that has great chemistry to get anywhere in the post season.

I'm actually a excited for the team. There will be no expectations, and the roster will not be as bad as people are making it.

Jr. Shabazz
So. Boatright
Fr. Calhoun
Jr. Roscoe
So. Daniels
Jr. Giffey
Jr. Olander

I expect Shabazz to be damn good, I think Roscoe will improve a lot, I think Daniels will finish adjusting better.

What's up with Evans. Did I miss something that would allow him to play next year?

As for the 5 position, though...hmm... rebounding will be tough...

Ha! I was in the process of fixing that as you commented.

I like Olander. I wish he was 2 inches taller. But I like him.

This roster by itself has a marq/nova feel to it. It has a quick small guard feel and alot of depth at the wing spots with no real good center but bodies that can fill time and rebound(hopefully). If we add 1 or 2 big guys in those open slots then things will get interesting. I don't think scoring is going to be a big issue with this team like other do. I'm happy with a Scoe/Olander rotation at power forward if thats all we have. Could the 4 be better? Sure, but those 2 are above average compared to half our schedule. The center spot is the only issue really. If Bradley or Wolf gives us anything more than 20 minutes and 5 and 5, then this team may be alot better than people think.

The next year we can get 2 more guys with Evans and the ncaa ship opening up and by that time all apr/ncaa ship stuff will be gone and we will have a pf almost done.

I am on the edge of my seat waiting for this staff to pull another dd/ad with a late add that could be huge for this roster and for our future. While the big names have mostly picked schools there are still some great players out there we could get in on and add or several kids we don't know about that we could pull a shabazz/drummond with. Complain all you want about this year not working out, but imagine this past year without dd and ad. We wouldn't have been a bubble team.
