One glaring thing that has stood out to me is the very poor play of our tight ends. In addition to very poor blocking, they run sloppy routes, and drop a lot of passes. We talk about O Line and QB a lot here, and rightfully so. But if Coach Diaco's ideal offense is heavy personnel, the tight end's need to great improve. Do we have an individual coach for the tight ends? Or is Foley handling the line and tight ends?
I give Bloom a pass because he is a true freshman. He needs to spend a year lifting weights and gaining some weight. Myers has disappointed me, because the athleticism is there, but his technique is poor. Struggles on reach blocks, and gets blown up in the run game far too much. His height should make him a great safety valve.
Anyone heard anything about Hashemi's progress? We need to find a blocking tight end badly.
