She took a nasty spill during the Rutgers game. Sounded terrible. Her level of effort against ND given her being less than 100% was extraordinary.During one of the BET games (St John's, I think), I noticed a play in which Tiffany seemed not to get up and down the court with her usual speed and I wondered if there were something wrong. I hope she'll be okay.
I'd vote for zero minutes ....if I had a vote.Tiff was on WTIC and said it's an injury that progressed later in the season. She said she finally said something after the BET. So, they are holding her out so the injury doesn't get worse. (Her words, not sure if that means it won't improve?) Tiff is a tough kid; she'll gut it out and shouldn't have to play major minutes during the 1st weekend.
ditto. She won't be needed.I'd vote for zero minutes ....if I had a vote.
Hmm, I would have expected a bone bruise in her hip.
More on Tiff from Fuller's blog:
It is am injury that has bothered her for a few weeks but it wasn't until shortly before the Big East tournament that she mentioned it to the UConn medical staff.
"I usually wait until the last minute, probably not a good idea but usually what is bothering me goes away," Hayes said. "She (UConn athletic trainer Rosemary Ragle) tried to put some stuff in my shoe to help but it wasn't working. "After the tournament I got an MRI to find out what it was now I have to wear this other boot and miss a week.
"I can put weight on it but they don't want me to move it or put too much weight on it to help it heal faster. I think it has been progressive because it is not one time that it started hurting. It is tough because I have never really been hurt and missed a practice before so it would be the absolute worst time for this to happen. I definitely should be back for Saturday."
