Uconn gets it based on the tie breaker scenario of record vs highest ranked teams in the Big East. They both lost to Cuse and Marquette but Uconn beat ND and Seton Hall lost to them.

Yes, but if Georgetown beats Notre Dame at home on Tuesday, won't G'Town leap them? Seton Hall beat Georgetown, we did not.

ii.Most wins do not prevail if the team with fewer wins could equal or surpass the win total of the other team. Two examples of many scenarios that do not provide an advantage:
1) TeamA 1-1Team B0-1

if i am understanding this correctly, this means our win over notre dame would not give us the advantage and we lose the tiebreaker to seton hall no matter what

i think "no matter what" is premature.

agree with win over ND not giving UConn the advantage.
but if USF finishes ahead of Gtown in the standings, UConn wins the tiebreaker because of the win over USF.
if USF and Gtown tie in the standings, UConn wins the tiebreaker because of the win over Nova.

9 may be better than 8, worked last year

let Hall be the 8 seed, we're beating them anyhow
