Tickets and attendance……

I cant tell you why because I’m in not in the ticket office, but it’s a pretty good sign that they’re being sectioned off when they go from hardly any seats sold to this overnight

notice the common line where they stop appearing green

Yep looks like another sad crowd. And for a p5 opponent too. Our problem with the AAC was the opponents remember? It would change with ACC opponents. Oh and we didn't win. Coming off a bowl season.

We need the casuaIs. Haven't seen any promotion going on other than emails that are basically preaching to the choir.
Only the die hards even know there's a football game.

How about commercials on the local newscasts?
I am aware nobody reads daily newspapers anymore, but I find that alot of people read their local weekly freebies that show up in their mailbox. Cheap advertising there.
And for the digital crowd, I am on alot of sports websites and have not had one ad pop up about UConn football

Certainly not doubting that the crowd may end up sucking but I imagine the overwhelming majority of single game tickets will be bought in the week leading up to the game. There’s no rush, UConn has a history of offering discounts and other deals close to game day, you can check on weather, etc.

I saw tickets for $3 for a couple lower profile games. That's crazy. I have to go solo for the NC State game and paid $21 on Stub Hub.

A key to attendance isn't the number of tickets sold, but the number of fans actually at the game. Hopefully, if people have tickets and can't or don't want to go, they give them to people who can go. We need a great crowd.

??? is it not reasonable to assume cutting off most of the upper bowl for now is a way to not make the stadium look embarrassingly unsold? sure “rushing to buy tickets” might’ve been putting it in nefarious light but it is marketing
There is not a single sane human being who is worried that they won’t be able to come to any home game and buy tickets at the gate because we are sold out.

I just saw an add for UConn football on YouTube. They were pumping family fun, value , and tailgating. I don’t recall ever seeing an Ad for them before.

Two and a half weeks out from the first game and still no tickets in my account, has anyone heard from the ticket office when we can expect these?
I bought individual games because we will be out of town for some. Got them immediately.

.-.
FYI for ppl wondering why there was a sudden drop in availability in tickets, the university is giving faculty and staff 4 complimentary tickets for the season opener...they have been doing this for season openers for the last few years.

.-.
Students have free access for all athletic events w/ their student ID.
Thanks- did not know that. I go to a lot of the football games and the student section is not always full

I’m doing my part (as a CT native who now lives out of state) and bought myself and my mom tickets to the FIU game. Hopefully attendance is good; it looked like they had limited availability in a lot of sections.

Wish I could go to more games but it’s a lot to make the trip down and back. I’m trying to convince my parents to start going more but they still aren’t convinced the team is turning a corner.

It appears we haven’t sold a single ticket in the section above the students for any game this season so far
They haven't sold many, but they have sold some. I spent a half there once. Not a bad place to see a game, especially at the
price.

As long as they actually go. Otherwise, they need to give them away to people who will.

The way they distribute the complementary tickets is via the ticket office portal.. so its like you are buying tickets, you get to pick your seats, then when you get to the check out, you do not pay. so if ppl do not claim the tickets, those seats still show up as available. if a person claims all 4 tickets, and then does not go then i see your point.

Those are the last tickets to go. They only sell when the stadium is full. There were empty seats up their for the stadium opener against Indiana. I don't think they sold those for Michigan.

Those were traditionally served for Young Alumni/ Recent grads for a heavy discount. The section use to be pretty full, always some seats left, with some student section overflow... that was until DJ Dog Pound came into the picture.

I just got off the phone with UConn Athletics. The operator said e-tix will be available on Thursday.

I'm more concerned with the physical parking passes (Also the end of the week).

Received parking passes yesterday. Friends received theirs yesterday as well.

Like the previous poster said, that's were the young alumni seats were. Those seats would be a prime location in the Meadowlands.
