It's laughable that UCF fans and their Mickey Mouse administration live in some alternate universe fantasyland of their own making. Sorry, but when you play a cream puff OOC schedule to pad your win totals, and give up almost 700 yards of total offense at home to a mediocre 5-4 Temple team that lost to I-AA Villanova and Buffalo at home, you need to shut up about being taken the least bit seriously in the CFP sweepstakes.

I applaud their mickey mouse tactics. Its working by keeping them topical in print and with tv broadcasters. Yes they are failing the eye test this year, but why not keep pushing the conversation until you actually lose.

Too bad they missed out on their OOC P5 game two years in a row due to hurricanes. Last year the GT game was never rescheduled and this year the UNC game was never rescheduled. A solid win against either program wouldnt have hurt (although a win over UNC this year would not help very much either).

Pretty sure their AD has come out and said they’ve tried scheduling bigger P5 teams in the non conference and they keep getting turned down. You cant blame their scheduling when they are essentially blocked out year after year because the P5/Cartel teams are afraid of a possible early loss they dont need to schedule because of their conference strength.

Exactly! The P5 won't schedule them because there is a real chance they could loose to UCF. We can criticize UCF's schedule, but they tend to blow out the weaker ACC teams because their talent is that much better. They can't refuse to schedule teams like UConn because they are in the same conference. That is what will kill their chance to get to a P-5 bowl, they have a blowout victory over one of the worst FBS teams ever! Regardless of what others think of their schedule, they will continue to get some hard looks by P5 recruits, because a George C. Scott remarked in the movie Patton.......Americans like winners.

Kettle calling pot black. UConn avoids Navy and Houston, but jumps at playing URI and Maine. Lets not judge others OOC schedule when UConn avoids top FCS teams from the old Yankee Conference/ A10 Conference.

Anyone seen details to follow this headline below? And does this mean the UConn-UCF game (which was opening weekend) was the highest rated game this season???

LOL! Ah, we're not the ones pretending we won a natty last year, and the idea that we avoided Navy and Houston is hilarious, considering the fact that the conference sets the schedule and we have zero to say about it. BTW, Navy and Houston play in the West division of the AAC, we play in the East. That's why we only play Navy, Houston and all other AAC West teams sporadically on a round robin basis every few seasons.

You let me know when we become a CFP contender and then you can complain about our weak OOC schedule holding us back. I'm sure we'd all love to engage in that discussion because we'd be in the top 10 nationally.
