It further confirms that women's basketball is viable and can generate revenue. What these coaches have done for their respective programs on a business side should be noted more often in my opinion.

they also basically give away the television rights even though the games fill pretty valuable television slots that have advertising and do respectable enough ratings.

Granted there is value in assigning the inventory a lower value on the school side as it helps them make their arguments.

It's a balance though as far as pricing. I think USC's atmosphere has declined as they've raised prices and set aside more seats for donors. The crowd is a different group of people from football/mbb and were frankly more motivated to show up and cheer. As traditional donors bought tickets butts in seats have gone down.

Sounds like the good seats at a hockey game in Toronto. I guess it's part of the trade off.

Are you a season ticket holder? I'm asking because I am and have been for about 7 years. I was there yesterday and if you took all the people in the upper deck and brought them down the entire lower bowl would have been full. That's 10 - 12,000 people. That's a pretty good crowd considering the uptick in Covid and students are just now arriving back to campus. Where the big donors typically sit during WBB was pretty full - it's adjacent to where my tickets are. I don't really care who comes, as long as they attend.
