UW will probably hold on, but they started running clock way too soon. Offense ground to a halt and they nearly gave this one away. Just like the prevent defense in football, that strategy almost always backfires. So why do coaches insist on using it?

64-54 final. Never would've guessed UW could win w/ Melgoza having a terrible game (4-15 from the floor). But Huff matched her in futility (3-15). Only lower seeded team that won in the Pac 12 today.

March Madness has begun, 10 lower seeded teams won today to include all four lower seeds in the Big 10. Two or three losses by some ranked teams in the conference tournaments and I think you can say Hasta La Vista to the LV of Tennessee.

LOL at Washington celebrating like they just won the tournament.

I get it, this feels like a good win for them, and they played well. But man that Utah team is a shell. Only 7 healthy players and 3 of them are freshmen. Huff and Gylten had just really bad games and there was no one left to pick up the slack. They were soft on the inside without Edwards. They shot 5-25 from 3. Bean looked like she was playing injured.

From the vibe I get, I’d be surprised if Utah accepts its WNIT invite. They’re just walking wounded. Time to pack it up and let the bodies heal.

What's the name of the Board?
No. Just because we’re UConn fans it doesn’t mean we need to be jerks. Most of us are old enough to be parents/grandparents of the players and we act like middle schooler

Well March madness and the upsets begin. Earlier there was a discussion on another threat about the Pac-12 Utah at the time was a 2-loss team. I think I pointed out the short roster and more importantly the fact that Utah haven't played anyone yet in the schedule. While losing to it two win Washington team is clearly an upset it does show the uncertainty this time of year. ASU played poorly in their went over Colorado look for UCLA to easily win their game. The major Pac-12 take away yesterday was the coaching of McDonald at U of A. The wildcats destroyed Southern Cal in large part because McDonald finally played within a team concept and didn't feel the need to score 30 by jacking up 20 shots. They may be a tough out. I'm still looking for UCLA to make a deep run.
