Thoughts on the 2017 Season

I honestly don't have a clue as to what to expect this year. My impression is that Diaco didn't recruit well on the one hand but on the other I believe that good coaching with average talent can go pretty far. I'm saying 5-6 wins with at least 1 upset. And likely a much better team by mid-October.

Holy Cross is opening night. The curtain rises. The footlights are on. The theater is packed. I hope the theater is packed. I would settle for crowded.

Crowded at best. Last year's edition closed in Annspolis. And1aa games are always the one you can miss at most schools.

I somehow have the same feeling of life being squeezed out of me the last few years. I looked at the games and the seasons with dread and fear. Just when I thought things could not get worse, it did. So with REv2 I was apprehensive but hopeful. And from the buzz and press reports, there is a new energy, hope and feeling around the players, coaches, program. In other words, I was feeling much like what whaler posted. At this point I have to believe that REv2 and staff and players will right the ship. I will predict a 7-5 season and bowl game. We have been at the bottom for so long, it's time to rise up!!!!
