Well fellow huskies fans the train wreck that was this season has finally coming to a screeching halt. A season full of enormous expectations and met with a resounding dud from our players and coaches.

Last night, I knew it was going to be a long night for us when I say Royce White score on the first 2 possessions of the game on Drummond dunking on him and driving by him. Coach Calhoun didnt have the guys ready at all for the game and the team was flat for the entire first half. Like I have said before, we never play well in Louisville, but no excuse for the team to come out that awful and give up a 16-0 run in the first half. The offense or lack of offense this year by this team was absolutely pitiful to watch. Nobody moving, nobody making cuts or getting open or setting good screens, it was an just an absolute indictment of this year's team and of the coaches. Let me begin with player analysis of last night's game

Drummond- He was absolutely awful last night nothing else to say. He couldn't defend royce white, couldn't rebound on him, he couldn't score. He has been a huge disappointment, and he will be known as DeAndre Drummond from now on to me unless I see a Fab Melo type turnaround from him next year either at UCONN or in the NBA. Nothing more nothing less.

Lamb- He scored 19 points last night but was once again the passive player and defender that he has been this entire year. He is better suited as batman or even Alfred but unfortunately we needed a Batman and he isn't that guy.

Roscoe- I am proud of Scoe he had only 5 points and 5 rebounds but he played tough and battled Royce White better than anyone on our team.Roscoe will be great for us next year and will be a very good player.

Giffey- Giffey is a very good and solid player. He is a stabilizer for this team similar to Roscoe and he plays good fundamental basketball. Big mistake Calhoun made was putting Drummond back in the game late when we had cut the game down to 6 points with Giffey on the floor and he takes him out brining in an inept DeAndre Drummond which made Iowa State go on another run to close the game. Giffey I want to see start next year at shooting guard because he will be very good next year for us as well.

Napier- The only guy besides Giffey and Roscoe that played well. He fought hard, he scored, he was just very good for us last night, and I am glad that Napier has proven to be a really good player. If we had 5 napier's last night at each position we would have won the game, but we don't.

Boat- He was ok had 9 points but didn't play well really. He let his man get open too many times and was too tentative for much of the game. I liked his aggressiveness to the basket but he couldnt finish around the basket.

This UCONN team was too soft, no toughness, no aggressiveness, and you cant win games at this level like this especially at Louisville where we absolutely get torched every time we go there. Chris Allen, ex Michigan St. player was hurting us all day yesterday, he made all the big shots to stop rallies and was very tough to defend. Scrappy Big 10 and Big 12 teams seem to give UCONN a lot of trouble, and the reason is their willing to battle and play hard nosed basketball.
