This Year's Kon Knueppel

Knueppel is a bigger dude. Mullins is much faster and more agile
The talent is there - but looking like he truly belongs in the Big East and then convincing a team with the 7th overall pick in the draft that he is ready for the NBA might be prove a wee bit too challenging for one season.

Was a bit confused because the only similarities are shooting and one other thing, but FYI the comparison is the situation, not game

“Mullins is this year’s Kon Knueppel: a player who many have off their preseason draft boards because of his perceived weaknesses but one who will ultimately prove worthy of being a one-and-done”

Came here to point this out too after reading the article. If a UConn freshman has a Kon-like skillset, its Furphy. Mullins oozes 3&D potential. I love this class - Furphy, Reibe and Mullins will all find their way into the NBA.

It’s impossible to watch Furphy’s creativeness and touch and to not conclude that he will help our team this year. It’s Cam like stuff. The only questions, and they are big ones are do tight physical BE or top school defenses shut him down and is he a defensive liability? We will all see in November. And also will he get enough floor time to prove himself?
