I know this team has lost its share of games but this one puts the team back down to earth (i.e. last year's run dreams), gets them some much needed rest, and most importantly allows JC to start over with this group as if its a new season.

Having time to break down film, rest nagging injuries, implement teachings and fixing some team problems will be invaluable. Can't tweak things effectively in the middle of the season.

JC is back and he can put his stamp back on these kids.

Oh and better to lose your last game now than in the next 4 weeks, as we all know.

If we're 9 or 10 I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose in the first round. These guys are clueless on offense. UConn averaged under 70 points in an uptempo offense. Shabazz has a lot of work to do in the offseason.

I agree that the time off is important. I think the players are more confident now and calhoun can work his game plan the next week. In fact, Colin cowherd (who I usually don't like) just said "watch out for uconn, they're talented and calhoun can flat out coach...I wouldn't be surprised if they won 4 games" - he also basically said were a diff team with calhoun than not.

Not sure what your point is. Of course it wouldn't be a surprise if we lost in the first round. We're going to be in either the 8-9 or 7-10 games, which are essentially toss-ups.
