The one positive I had coming into this season was despite our lack of experience, we were still in a crummy conference, and we can generate 20+ wins due to easy schedule. Boy was I wrong. I thought it would be cool/depressing to see what our record would be this season if we had the 08-09 teams schedule. (i picked that one because I graduated that year)

After browsing the schedule I figured our record at best would be 18-11. Shocking right? A lot of those teams are weak, not like Yale and Houston weak, but weak.

Losses on 08-09 schedule
Wisconsin in Virgin Islands
Gonzaga in Seattle
Georetown at XL
@West Va
@ Cincy
Providence
Nova
@ St Johns
@ND
@ Louisville
@Pitt

Good Wins/Decent Wins
Miami Fl
Rutgers
Seton Hall (might be a loss too)
@ DePaul
Michigan @ Home (could also be a loss)
Syracuse @ Home (might also be a loss but hopefully not)
Marquette

If we played a real Big East (RIP) schedule with the roster we have now we would be in the cellar with Rutgers,Depaul and USF. I mean we're in the middle of the pack in CUSA as of right now....

If this current team went through a season in the old Big East, I would expect almost the same results as the 2006-2007 season.

08-09 team pre dyson injury was special. With him injured we were still F4. This team would struggle to be at .500 overall if we played big east schedule that year. There were 4 teams from the Big East who made the elite 8 that year.

Nothing worse than calling than the average fan calling the American, Conference USA.

If that was sarcasm then touche.
