This program will never rebuild unless . . .

Crawl before you can walk, walk before you can run…

We’re still very deep in the crawling phase, but the past 6 quarters of ball show that we’re moving in the right direction. With young guys that will hopefully get better as time goes on as an added bonus.

To do that, you need to be able to win battles at the line of scrimmage. The opponent always seems to have that extra level of strength to get push, break tackles, while our guys too often go down on the first hit. Wyoming's line was too strong for UConn's line in the 4th qtr. They drove the ball down our throats on their last 2 TD drives - nothing fancy at all. We had to scramble & struggle to make plays to extend drives.

Baby steps - it was a great effort yesterday, but we need stronger & more skilled players in here to win at the FBS level.

Wyoming and many of the teams played so far are known to be good defensive teams.

Missing Travis Jones played big in that I’m sure.
