We want our players to do what it takes to win, yet so many fans devalue the unglamorous roles a player may have to contribute towards the team winning, especially against good teams.
Sure. a team needs good shooting and that’s what we may have missed in recent years, but this season it appears we have enough shooters most nights. There is also just ONE BALL so if every player tied his self worth to personally scoring x amount of points, we will have an unhappy team.
Let’s appreciate Clingan blocks, Jackson making a lottery pick go 5-15, Sanogo & Jackson’s rebounds, Hawkins defense, the ball movement, Newton’s 8 assists, Karaban’s poise, and the team only having 12 turnovers against an elite defensive team.
Appreciate the guys who set screens, dive for loose balls, box out on the boards and play not 100% healthy.
We have a very talented team but to go deep we need to have the unselfish and Warrior thing going. Let’s make the players know we appreciate those important roles and Warrior attitude too.
