With the right matchups, we might got to the round of 16 or get blister hot and make the 8.
With the wrong matchup, we might lose in the 1st game.
There's been a lot of talk about matchup problems with teams with athletic, big bigs.
Nah.
Not buying it. Harrel's 20 points and 11 boards is not what beat us by a long shot. We were beat because they completely took Boat and Napier out of the game. Those two combined for 4 assists and 9 turnovers. Throw in Kromah as the 3rd ball handler, and you get 4 assists and 13 turnovers. 4 and 13!!!!
The three of them had 19 points, combined!
I throw out as well that we beat Florida, whose big guy ate our lunch.
Matchups.
We get a team with guards who are slower, not as athletic or quick as Bazz and Napier, we're in the game regardless of how good their bigs are, because Bazz is that good.
But if they're athletic enough to hold Bazz to 1 assist in 34 minutes, we're done.
