Why can't our new conference take the future by the balls while placing a shot across the bow of the NCAA and add a couple of Canadian schools and possibly one south of the border.

Difficult but not impossible.. The Continental Conference.

I could well be wrong here but I believe that all schools added to the conference need to be active D-1 members of the NCAA.
