Illinois is one of my favorite states for the following reasons:
  1. Chicago - a world class American city, great food, architecture and people
  2. Deep dish - not an everyday pizza, but damn good on occasion
  3. John Hughes - did he ever make a bad movie?
  4. Al Capones steak house - one of the greatest, weird nights of my life was driving out in the middle of nowhere to eat a mediocre steak dinner at a house Capone once used as a bootleg base
  5. Halloween - Best horror movie ever, set in the fictional(?) town of Haddonfield, scared the bejesus out of me as a kid and I think Halloween 2 was probably scarier
  6. 2nd City comedy - spent many late nights that started at the birthplace of SNL
  7. I love “the Illini” as a nickname
Thinking this honesty will be good for the mojo.

No love for the Boat Show??
Yes. But then if you dig deeper it was association with the state of Illinois on why in his freshman season he was ineligible on 2 separate occasions. I blame Illinois on our 2012 shortfall

I was in 318 last night, which ended up being the heart of the Illinois section for their game. I kept hearing this chant…took me a while to figure out what they were saying. I will say they were a loud bunch.

Smashing Pumpkins and Wayne and Garth. Oh, and Louis Armstrong’s Hot 5s and 7s!

"Curly Sue" shows 13% on Rotten Tomatoes. I decided right there to stop looking any further, but he does have a generally solid filmography, and I think its mention works to your post's favor.

I kinda liked Curly Sue. It was dumb, but overall a feel good movie. Worth noting that the critics gave it 13%. The hoi polloi gave it 50% approval. Still not good, but a lot better than 13%
