2. FG % defense - 2nd, losing out to Iowa State (28.2% vs. 28.3%)
3. FT % - 74th at 72% with Mt. St. Mary's at 82.3%
4. Rebound margin - 7th at 14.5 vs. Maryland at 22.6. May need to cut back on FG %
5. 3 pt FG % - only 3rd with Duke at #1 (48.4% vs. 44.1%
6. Blocked shots per game - 6th with Texas at #1 (8.4 vs. 6.5)
7. Steals per game - only 86th with 10.7 vs. Alabama leading with 17.7 per game
8.Turnovers per game - 14th, committing 13.3 vs Loyola Chicago at 11.8
9. Fouls given - 4th with 11.2 while Michigan only fouls 10.1 per game
10. Turnover margin - 6th with 9.5 while Alabama wins out 10.1 more than opponent
11. And a horrible 315th @ 3pt FG % - 36.5% vs Samford's 12.5% best

HOOPS: wow, terrific stuff. FT% could really bite us in tough game, obviously. On rebound margin, I dn't think it's our shooting percentage; I think the issue is down at the other end on the D boards. Very surprised at Steals.....and just about cannot believe the 3-point shooting if that is OUR shooting stat (we've always struggled at DEFENDING the three.....less so now than in the past, I think....we are getting our hands up alot more now (instead of leading with our chins) , going out AFTER the shooter more aggressively

Yes, it won't be the same margin against Maryland, Baylor, Duke and Notre Dame, but then do any of those teams have the inside/outside game that UConn has?

Either Maryland played NC calibur defense, or UCONN needs to work on some offense. 38% from the field? Sometimes you just gotta win ugly!

In terms of areas for improvement, FT shooting is disappointing, as we have good shooters, and 3-point defense has been weak in several games.
