Nice article here for anyone looking to delve a bit deeper into the reasons our offense looked so putrid against Towson.

The big takeaways - Hemingway obviously did not perform on the right side and Whitmer got happy feet which caused poor throws and unnecessary sacks. What this didn't get into too much was situational play calling selection, etc (like at the end of the first half). The 3rd and goal from the 6 yard line was a critical play and a poor throw from Whitmer which really hurt.

Shockingly enough, I think our bigger problems may be on the defense and it seems that article may be coming out tomorrow.

Watching the game live, there were two instances I,thought whitmer was responsible for the sack. One time he hung onto to the ball way too long the second time he left the picked foot early.

More than, anything the most disappointing thing to me was this was,the same 200 yard passing 75 yard rushing offense as last year. Very disappointing when, you have two very good wrs image outside.

Andrew Callahan does a great job with his write ups. Looking forward to the analysis of the defense.

It's amazing how P and Hughes completely abandoned the attack defense that helped give us one of the best defenses in the country. A Pop Warner coach would have been more creative and aggressive than P and Hughes. Don Brown left and took all of our balls with him.

If we are afraid of giving up big plays to Towson and Leon Kinnard then I have to assume we will be playing Prevent Defense all day against Maryland...can't give up those big plays to Diggs.

It's nice to hear our Center coming off the field saying, "What the duck* is wrong, and why isn't this working?"

If we lose the next 2 games (very likely) the team will quit on the staff and this could get very ugly. At minimum......GDL should've been shown the door after that disgraceful performance. Put Foley back in charge of the OL and get on with the season. It would've given Foley 2 weeks to work with the unit.

The players love Foley. They despise GDL. A no-brainer move.

The problem wasn't that Hemingway played poorly.

The problem was the lack of an adjustment to help him out. He was in trouble from play one and NO ADJUSTMENT was made, instead the coaches left him on island for the entire game.

That is a scheme problem!!!!!

When Lawrence Taylor was destroying the Redskins, Joe Gibbs invented the H-back to help neutralize Taylor. That is how coaching helps players. Good coaches adjust their systems to help their personnel.

And, for the sake of Dez, that is a coaching issue.
