what about the best threesome in a season in UConn history? Would it be this season of Breanna, Moriah, and Morgan? Three different positions, responsibilities, and none of them seems to have an off-night.

Misleading, they were part of a fivesome, not a triad above the others back then.
Well everyone is part of a fivesome. I thought we were picking the three most dominating teammates.

Is it based on players in the same recruiting class or players who played together? If the latter:

Maya 4x AA, 2-3x NPOY 3,036 points

Tina 2x AA, NPOY, 2,346 points

Renee 2xAA, Lieberman Award, 1,990 points

That team was really, really good. That trio was really, really, really good.

I was thinking 3 who played together, and for one particular season. Which season would you say for those three? In general, I like Moriah( especially because of her defense) over Renee and Tina( perhaps the best center the game has seen) over Tuck. But I would take Breanna over Maya because of how disruptive she is at the defensive end. We saw that loud and clear last night. Tiffany Mitchell gave up trying to penetrate.

I've followed WCBB for at least 30 years and Mo Jefferson is the finest defensive point guard I've ever seen. She's great offensively and is probably at the least in the top 5-7 all time in that category, but I've never seen a PG cover the floor and disrupt opponents like she does. Along with Maya Moore and Breanna Stewart she's one of my favorite 3 players all time.

You misunderstand. To select those 3 says CLEARLY that Ms. Jones and Ms. Williams were a notch below. Not so. Not like the supporting cast now is a notch below. Your selection can't qualify.

If we go back 20 years you could say Lobo, Wolters, and Rizzoti.

A very good trio of teammates that I, personally, would exclude because Nykesha Sales was the best player on that team.

This is a very nice discussion. Up until now had never given any thought to teammate trios.

Obviously Stefanie, Breanna and Kaleena. Best front line ever.

Sue, Shea, and Svet should be part of the discussion. In the annals of UConn championship lore, that 2000 squad was fantastic, and the three I mentioned made for one hell of a core trio of players.

One note about trios: 2002, 2009, 2014, and 2015, all featued a trio of WBCA AAs.
