There's a Woodshed in Gainesville

Is that actually us against Villanova in 1995?

That wasn’t such a good day.

That was a 23 point loss (96-73). Not a good one at all, but not the worst, even that season. 3 UMass beat 1 Arkansas by 24 that same season (104-80).

The worst is still UCLA over Houston in the 1968 semis, so far as I can tell. 32 point drubbing.

I didn't catch this game but wtf happened? I may have to watch out of morbid curiousity.

All I can say is Georgia should not be ranked 36. Georgia showed good big men interior defense and Tenn couldn’t make any outside shots. Also Kentucky went down.

Watched the game and listened to the announcers they were funny. At one point at the 4:12 time out they were stating Tenn was 4-21 from the court and Florida was torching them and doing what ever they wanted to on the offensive end. The score was I believe 28-12 or very close. I’m thinking “doing whatever they want” is 28 points with 4 minutes left? I mean the only reason they were torching them was due to the fact Tennessee couldn’t find the ocean, and they had plenty of open looks. Obviously I didn’t care to watch the 2nd half and Tennessee didn’t improve shooting the ball, but if Florida was doing whatever they wanted it would have been a 40-50 point drubbing that’s how bad Tenn was.

Here's why I love Florida.

Todd Golden is a offensive genius, but by adding Alijah Martin and Robert Chinyelu, they've gotten so much tougher and the defense has gotten so much better.

Also, few teams in the nation have better guard depth than Florida. Three 13 ppg+ scorers in Clayton/Martin/Richard and Aberdeen can plug into any three backcourt spots off the bench.

They look like the best team in the country to me but a lot of basketball to be played.

I remember another game, also vs Nova (I think) but definitely in Hartford where UConn had 15 or less at the half and the Hartford crowd boo-ed lustily as the team went into halftime. ESPN anouncers (mabye Tim Brando) were heavily critical of the home crowd for booing.

I also think that because of teams coming in with so many new pieces we are seeing teams either gel and move way ahead or not gel as much and fall behind the curve. Now more than ever we can only really start to say who are the best teams at the end of Feb. Those years of Ky Us Duke KU being the best from nov-april seem distant
