Good for her. I know she'll represent #3 very well.

On Monday, it’s off to Storrs and summer school.

“I think I’m ready,” Tuck said. “The tough part is being away from home and my parents but it’s what I need in order to grow up. I’m independent so I’m excited to be trying something new and different.

“I’m going to work hard this summer to be in shape so I can be effective in games. I want to get stronger and get that college body. I want to learn about my teammates and the system and get off on the right path with my classes.”

Talk about exceptional. The traditional 1-10 rating scale gives way to an 11 for this young lady, a la Spinal Tap.

She will no doubt do justice to the illustrious #3 jersey.

I second that!

Team USA coach Katie Meier: “She settles everyone down and is a calming influence and that’s so important to a team."

That's what they said about her when she made the U19 team last year too.

Guess it must be true.

As "Tommy Flanagan" might say (but not in the same context!):

"Morgan....Morgan Tuck. Yeahhhh, that's the ticket!"

Now playing on my Bose: "Ticket to Ride," sung by Karen Carpenter.

Seems appropriate for Morgan Tuck.

[Boneyarders may exercise their option of inserting any of about ten other names in place of hers.]

One #3 was an all time great. One #3 was pretty good. I'll be happy with something inbetween the previous #3's.

I would be quite pleased if Morgan finished with a career quite similar to the "pretty good" #3. Ending up in the top 10 of multiple categories ain't too shabby.

What are the numbers of the other freshmen coming in?
I think I read Stewart was going to wear her #30. Haven't seen anything about MoJeff.
