Uconn this season is loaded with 5 possible first team AA's and at least 4 in the loop for NPOY. UConns non starters appear on paper to be better then most teams starters which says alot about UConns future for the next 4 seasons . UConn has so many top HS players in the top 5 so I am again picking another undefeated season with a NC. The distance between UConn and everybody else is mindboggleing. I like ND as number 2 because they have so many weapons and are so well coached. With Jessica Shepard eligible they should be a FF team. South Carolina imo will be to dependent on Aja Wilson. Not enough experience surrounding her to make them a top 4 team. I like Texas guards to run the show and they can score.

My top 10 teams in order

UConn
ND
Texas
Baylor
UCLA
S Carolina
Ohio St
Miss St
Stanford
Louisville

I like your top pick--ND may be a bit overrated here. UCLA IMO is underrated as is Stanford. Also I agree Uconn's bench could be a top 20 team in another state, with money to spend on WBB. I agree ND is ALWAYS well coached. Heresy ---I'm not sure the distance between Uconn and all others is as you say--that remains to be seen. \Last year I was amazed how far the core 4 and Saniya MADE that distance--hard work and dedication--and they are back with additives.

I am unsure about ND, only because I think that they just announced 1-2 additional season ending knee injuries-Mychal Johnson and another senior guard.

Ohio St has quite a team right now. Baylor is looking good. I like them both ahead of ND.

Oregon should surprise some people here.

Serious question? Why Baylor at #2? Eveyone keeps putting the Bears at 2/3 and with all they lost I’m curious as what others are thinking? I asked this question on Twitter and didn’t really get a response either?

Is it me, or are most of the top teams weaker than they were last year? Mississippi State lost its top three starters. South Carolina lost its most important players, except for A'ja Wilson. Notre Dame has two-three?- major season-ending injuries to key players.

Perhaps Texas is stronger. But Connecticut comes back with its four best players, plus a key sophomore guard, plus a tried and true 6'6" post player. And after that there's the NPOY in Walker, who may or may not develop into a major contributor.

If UConn could go to the Final Four last year, is there really anyone who is stronger this year who could stop them on the final weekend? Doesn't A'ja Wilson have a weaker crew around her?

Just wondering....

I like your listing. Ms State lost 4 seniors, but still has itty bitty William. Their coach today or yesterday was reserved when asked about their chances.\
Mulkey hasn't recently don't much with a lot. \\\

Fairfield:
I think you are correct on A'ja's surrounding support. Texas is stronger and with a bit more coaching ability could have gone further last April..
I try to be the Glass half full--but Basketball is a game, some win some lose, even the better team loses at times (last April??) So I want an undefeated season, but I won't bet on that happening. However--having said that. If Geno can get to the Final Four his chance are the best.
