The much-weakened conference product means that Jim Calhoun is going to surge past Jim Boeheim on the wins list thanks to regular meetings with DePaul, SMU and Houston.

And that's something, I suppose.

My spine just stenosis'd.

Blaney is gonna have to take my place in the chat room.

That depends on whether we get new players.

What caused it? The thought of BIG MONDAY: SMU-Central Florida? Or the thought of a Houston-DePaul Thursday matinee at the Big East Tournament at Madison Square Garden?

Calhoun and uconn don't need jack squat to catch anyone, especially not Boeheim and Syracuse.

This isn't the late 80s, the mid 90s, not even post 2004.

Calhoun and uconn have passed every other big east team and sit at the top of the food chain: most regular season titles, tied with Gtown for most tourney titles, most ncaa titles, most guys now in the nba.

Don't let this down year make you think like a hermit- the hierarchy in the big east remains.

And it's been quite a party.

I believe Boeheim will retire before ever coaching in the ACC. Hopefully, someone runs with this and it becomes an internet meme.

This is the karmic ( is that a word) payback for our success. Man had the audacity to come into cowtown New England and build a championship program. Someone up there apparently thinks we've had enough time at the bar. Kemba and the kids broke the karma balance so badly that now we have to be in a conference with Memphis, SMU and Houston. I am going to remember the good times.

Memphis can be a big asset to the BE. Basketball will be tougher for them but they have great recruiting in the mid south that will only get better. In football they have always been Tennessee's poor sister but that area is loaded with talent and being in the BE may keep some from SEC schools. Also, the ribs ain't bad.
