If the FB schools split from the BB schools and do NOT take the Big East name with them, do they still get to keep the BCS bid?

I honestly don't know the answer to this...

I don't know that we know this definitively. My working assumpton is "yes," because otherwise things we do know (such as they agreed to terms for an amicable split after 4 years from the last realignment) wouldn't make sense. But that is an assumption -- not knowledge.
