The Andy Griffiths Show was one of four sitcoms that ended its run being number one in the ratings for that year. One occurred in the fifties; one in the nineties; and one this century.

As a 24/7 caregiver I know more about television shows than I should.

One of the local tv stations in the Triad still has the show on every weekday. They recently would have back to back shows but now only the one.
One of the major networks recently had a special show on Mayberry and I believe that she was the only cast member who was able to participate, probably mainly because Mayberry (Mt. Airy) has been her actual home for quite some time now.
