An article in The Boston Globe today called attention to the fact that Celtics fans pay the third highest price for beer in the entire NBA. A small draft costs eight bucks.
Highest beer prices in the NBA are in Phoenix and New York, nine bucks apiece.
Average in NBA venues is $7.08.
IIRC, a beer at the XL Center is nine bucks, strictly big league. Like the deafening sound system. And those classy banners celebrating the history of the Whalers, back when they were in Boston and before they left for Carolina.
Such class is hard to take.
