Poor Dan Beebe. Tasked with telling the New Big East their physical style of play is no longer acceptable. Has to be a Texas plot. None of their basketball players ever got invited to an NFL training camp as a linebacker.

2. The Big East style has overtaken the game. It's constant mugging with no calls. Nothing is a block.

More free-flowing play would only help UConn.
The allowance for bumping of cutters (see Pitt), hacking and grabbing (G'town & xCuse), blatant moving screens (Pitt among others) has primarily helped our opponents.
If the defense is not allowed to rough up Bazz, Boat, Omar and DD...lookout!

Hasn't he been watching any basketball? Everybody plays that way now. It's not only the Big East where the first team to 60 wins.

agreed. This has been one of Jay Bilas's complaints about college basketball as well. When's the last time you have seen a college basketball player run through the lane off the ball without being bumped grabbed tripped mugged or held? I'm fine with some hand checking and physical play, but cutting the constant lane muggings will help the game flow better in my opinion.
