Since Napier left. The coach does not know what to do without an all American pro on the team. In the 3 years (including this one) since the NC we have seen zero progress with any player. I argue that Purvis and Brimah actually got worse. Where have the coaches been trying to improve their game? In those 3 years we've also seen the same stagnant NBA offense come up the floor every single time where stud guards (Boat, Adams, Gibbs) just couldn't get anything going because the offense is too complicated when you don't have a player that can do it all. In 3 years we've seen rebounding become a myth with our big men, to the point where playing small makes the most sense this year. In three years we've seen a struggle to crack the top 6 in a league that is nothing compared to P5 conferences. We've seen KO look utterly clueless during games. We were also given a possible lifeboat into a P5 conference where because of our football team, attendance, brand etc. would not let us in. It is now up to the basketball tea, to preserve through this putrid conference. But since I've seen the last 2 games...

In another 3 years, we will see 9,000 people at the XL and zero (0) top 25 teams scheduled in or out of conference. The writing has been on the wall this whole time. And we rode it out as much as we could. But now it's over. In 3 years- recruits won't even know what UConn is when they get a phone call from KO trying to recruit them. They will look at our offensive scheduling and say no thanks. I wanna play top 25 teams week in and week out.

In another 3 years the money will have dried up in our athletic dept while still being a member of the AAC, and people will be wondering why we didn't try to join the big east. Our football team will still be atrocious and teams like Temple and the Florida schools will be the new teams to talk about in conference realignment.

The writing has been on the wall.

There are many different opinions on what is wrong, coaching? Team chemistry? Player development?, but the one thing we all have in common is that we can all agree that there is a problem somewhere. We have seen some bad losses over the years but these last two vs Wagner and Northeastern at Gampel have been some of the worst.

9000 seems generous. But you're wrong on the other part. We should always be able to get an away game vs. a top 25 as we'll be the cupcake team.

/mild hyperbole

We went from Shonn Miller in the post to nobody. We knew that would happen a year ago and it's a recruiting gap. We have a 6'10 kid but he can't play.
