Many prognosticators will as usual see UConn as a casualty later this week. Whether some of the haters knock us off v. the corn eaters of Iowa State or maybe give us a shard of respect, but not too much, to see the Huskies slain by the mighty Squid. Alas, we are the walking dead.

And speaking of The Walking dead (spoiler alert!!)...they did it!! After last season's decent debut for a TV series I questioned where they could go with it. Having a rag tag band of survivors driving on clogged highways shooting zombies seemed like s real short run. But damn(!!), this season on old Herschel's farm has been freaking awesome. Rick killed Shane tonight. And i will sleep lightly wondering how the hell he became a zombie without getting bit.

...that is if we're not shot in the head by the corn eaters.

big fan of the Walking Dead...no the Zombie was not the same kid, as they found him later as a dead human.
I think Shane was infected earlier...there was a quick sign that he had infection when he first shaved his head and then in a recent episode when he deliberately cut his hand with a knife he had previously used to kill a Walker.
It is a new twist, though, that humans can be infected and carry it around for a time while seeming normal then transform after dying. Writing has been very good!

Randall was the zombie they killed, there were inspecting his remains after Glen "killed" him...they commented that he turned with no bites.

So they kind of telegraphed that Shane was infected, but then towards the end I thought it was going to be Rick, so the writers had me guessing.

There were definitely clues as to what was going on, with the dead walkers they found without bites a couple episodes back.

I just watched it, and I'm pissed!!!

The only character I liked on that show was Shane, and they killed him off?!?
I cant stand Rick and especially that wife of his. I guess the only bright spot is they killed that old guy Dale, if the writers didn't kill him off, I would of found a way to.

Here's hoping Linsanity kills Rick in the next episode.
