I think Leone is a tackle while DeGeorge is a guard.

I also believe the comment on Carrezola (that he is a DE) also applies to Stapleton.

7) unless we convert Garson or Hobbs (visiting), we could use another recruit.

DL
1) Fatusaki <--opt for the draft?
2) Ormsby
3) Atkins <-not an impact player, this is why we need to get Maize/Johnson & Hobbs
4) Lawley <-not an impact player, this is why we need to get Maize/Johnson & Hobbs
5) Okounam <--did get on the field this year?
6) Murphy
7) Brouse <--hoping for something here, had a nice HS tape

5) J. Joseph
6) Britton
LB pool below - no idea how to sort these guys yet

Re. WR...as many times as people have tried to write Beals off as transferring, there's no concrete proof. He should be back next year unless he comes out and says otherwise.

Also you're forgetting Tahj Herring-Wilson at CB.
Where was this even mentioned in regards to Beals? I thought the kid could be solid when he committed. Was excited he got PT as a frosh and then he disappeared? Was there a rumor he was leaving? (Yeah I know the rule on here about speculating a kid transferring. Don't want details just curious if it was actually a rumor)

The in season change from pro style to spread, with none of the coaches having real experience running it hurt not only Beals, but just about every other offensive weapon we had not named Newsome or Thomas.
So, whoever decided to write Beals off thst easily is probably mistaken.

I suggest you use a pencil for Ron Johnson and Brice McAllister.

Sorry to hear that Nos.

Can you confirm where Leone is projected to play? Everything I've heard for months has him pencilled in as starting RT next fall.

All other disasters (i.e. our offense) aside, that projected secondary would have me crapping my pants as a UConn Defensive Coordinator. Only one starter back from a squad that seriously struggled with both stopping the shorter routes (seemingly due to scheme) but also managed to get beaten deep far too often.

And not to be forgotten, aren't we also putting in a new Punter and Placekicker next year as well? The good news keeps on getting better...

It would help the DB's if we made an effort to rush the QB. The heavy lineman took forever to get there. Rushing 3 with Carrezola in coverage was nuts.

I look at that depth chart and the coaches UConn's AD has chosen to let coach them, and I quickly realize that 80 proof liquor won't get me through next season.

Lest anyone get confused, it's the coaches I have zero faith in, not the players.

Without a major leap up in play, from McCallister and Watkins, I want to see what Terry and Hahn could do at safety. The safety spot opposite of Obi was the biggest liability most of the year.

Biggest liability after our head coach, that is.

We are 50% DE's

40% TE's

10% other

This many TE's and DE's, and we have rarely seen a TE targeted in the pass game, or block anyone, and we sure as hell aren't rushing the passer.

WTF is this guy doing ?

This is just like the Punt return situation. We don't return anything, we don't sell out for the block...so what ARE we doing during punts ?????

Do we practice anything ?

Cleaned up and updated for verbals - and now numbered to count schollies. I'm probably missing some of the PWO who now have a scholarship - please let me know. By my count we have 11 slots left before we start adjusting for the usual spring attrition. I'm thinking the remaining spaces are allocated 2 more QBs, 2 RB, a C, 1 WR, 2 more OL, 2 DL and a DB

Is the first post implying T. Myers is looking at leaving? I know discussing such matters is forbidden but he literally has UConn blue blood in his veins. That would be a crushing loss. Unless of course he's joining the hoops team.

@Exit4 keep your eye on Eddie Hahn..a friend of mine who played at RBC and UConn has seen him play in HS..legit athlete...hits like a truck...I can see him competing for PT at Safety this year especially after the disastrous showing there last season opposite Obi.

I want to see Hahn, Garland, and Marshe Terry. Without Obi, Jhavon Williams, and John Green and the safety spot opposite of Obi that was never successfully filled, we could be in for tough year in the secondary if these guys don't make an impact.

Me too. And I would like to have DeGroot as another kid to add to the mix.

And I'm concerned about the LB corp after next year. So many unknowns there too when you get past the top 4.

Holy sheet. When I look at the roster like this? I can't find a win outside of Holy Cross. This is a terrible roster with a worse than terrible coaching staff.

I didn't want you sleeping well this winter.

The success of 2017 rides on i) the QB position and ii) Diaco's 2016 class which on paper has speed with Vickers, Hopkins, Skanes, Coyle, Herring and Dixon. We need a serious JUCO or QB transfer to Williams can spend 2017 practicing to give it another shot in 2018.
