Loved #10. I wonder if they made it in part because many are so delusional?

Im shocked that Maryland and UNC didnt make the list.

What is one of the reasons that I like Duke, Cowboys, and Lakers? Because if you're not a fan you hate us... and hey you aren't going to hate a team that you don't fear. Who walks around hating the Jaguars?

thats a low blow.

Geeezz the Vols couldn't even make the final four here

Hey hey hey...we can't expect to excel in everything. And everyone knows Alabama, AR, KY and MS are WAY worse than TN! :P

Clay Travis is famous for saying stupid things as a means to stir up controversy and draw attention to himself, however unwarranted. In this piece, he succeeds in all respects, and on a level unprecedented even for him, which is saying a lot. It is specifically designed to appeal to a variety of regional prejudices which like to subscribe to the idea that certain fanbases, especially in the SEC, are comprised of a bunch of redneck yokels, as opposed to the more "enlightened" and "culturally elite" fans elsewhere. Such prejudices flourish wherever envy exists relative to the quality and success of of one's own team' athletics vis a vis those of the targeted programs, most notably of Alabama.

But in this case, he's spot on.

I've got to say that I find his article to be unworthy of discussion on this venue. New York and Boston fans, Ohio State and Michigan fans, and Ranger and Islander fans all "hate" each other and portray their opponent's fan base to be beneath contempt. Sport in America inspires FANaticism. I'm not interested in treating any team's followers like trash.

I grew up in Big 10 country and have many stories/examples as bad and in MSU and Michigan's case far worse of fan stupidity.

I would have to say the top 10 for me based on personal experience:
1.)MSU
2.)Michigan
3.)Florida
4.)Wisconsin (and I'm a fan of the Badgers)
5.)Ohio State
6.)Illinois
7.)Alabama
8.)SoCal
9.)Vandy
10.)Duke

This list was hilarious though, including Tennessee.

You're a better person than I am

You can still treat them however you wish. Doesn't change what they are.
