The Team is going to Italy this summer?

Is it just a rumor that the Team is going to Italy this summer? If it's true: When? TV? Radio? Who gets to go, freshmen not on the team in the previous season aren't always allowed to participate? Thoughts?

Unfortunately, I will not be there.

Kia Nurse and Team Canada will be playing in the FIBA Americas tournament in Buenos Aires August 7-13. This is the qualifying tournament for the 2018 World Championships so it'll be a big deal for the Canadian team. I expect Kia will join the team in Italy but probably won't play a lot against the Italian competition. The young guards should get a lot of playing time.

Any chance the dates have been set for when the team travels to each city? Potentially trying to schedule a trip to catch a game at least.

It seemed like they took a trip like this every 4 or 5 years and it seemed to be important team bonding time. Although I can't remember the last time they did it. I wonder why they don't do it more often? Are there NCAA considerations when making these trips?

Yes there are restrictions. If you read through the thread that Java has linked above, this is all covered. They last went to Italy in 2011.
