That was a very nice and introspective piece on Breanna. When I saw this piece, it made me reflect back on a player that recently left the program. This is NOT a meant as a character assassination by any means,
but if
Sadie Edwards had come in with that same attitude (and her parents stayed out of it), she'd still be here. Make no mistake about it, Edwards has skills and can play. If she didn't, UConn would not have recruited her.
Attitude is everything. It can make you, or break you. Look what it did for Stewie, Mo & Tuck. All 3 basically had the same attitude -
"I'm going to come here, work as hard as I can, take instruction and criticism, and listen to my coaches. I'm going to strive to get better everyday. I'll do whatever I have to do to become the best player I can be. I'm going to be the very best teammate and role model I can be. I'm willing to do whatever I can to help this team win, be it starting or coming off the bench".
What a great recruiting tool that piece would make. Thanks for the post Rocky.
