That was a very nice and introspective piece on Breanna. When I saw this piece, it made me reflect back on a player that recently left the program. This is NOT a meant as a character assassination by any means,
but if Sadie Edwards had come in with that same attitude (and her parents stayed out of it), she'd still be here. Make no mistake about it, Edwards has skills and can play. If she didn't, UConn would not have recruited her.

Attitude is everything.
It can make you, or break you. Look what it did for Stewie, Mo & Tuck. All 3 basically had the same attitude - "I'm going to come here, work as hard as I can, take instruction and criticism, and listen to my coaches. I'm going to strive to get better everyday. I'll do whatever I have to do to become the best player I can be. I'm going to be the very best teammate and role model I can be. I'm willing to do whatever I can to help this team win, be it starting or coming off the bench".

What a great recruiting tool that piece would make. Thanks for the post Rocky.

Of course. Unfortunately for Sadie I don't think there is a chance she'll enter the WNBA draft as half the player she would have been. But this is why Storrs isn't for everyone. As much as part of me is puzzled why some refuse to consider UConn (are you listening Chatrice White and Azura Stevens?) most of me understands. I once listed 10 reasons why recruits (or transfers) won't come to UConn. Some I failed to mention were 11) Fear of being exposed as not the player you think you are. It's not the fear of being made to work over hard. It's the fear that your hard work will lead to failure. Which leads to 12) Fear of not living up to UConn's standards. 13) Fear of the media attention that comes with playing in the northeast. Which leads to 14) Fear of actually living up to all the work and standards and becoming a number 1 pick. There's plenty more. I would still love for Azura Stevens to come to her senses and realize that Storrs basketball wise is the perfect situation for her to develop her potential.

Another ambassador moves out to spread the word. But, honestly, is there anyone who has not gotten the word?

If you are a Storm fan with only a passing familiarity with Stewie, how psyched must you be after seeing that video!

Oh and you might see a couple of familiar faces in this video as well: Watch me work.

Just to spread the love - Dan Hughes on drafting Jefferson:
"When you play for Geno [Auriemma], I believe it's a much harder transition to come from high school to college," Hughes said. "Every Connecticut player I have ever coached is ready [for the pro game]. That's because of the training they get from Chris Dailey and Geno.

"They know how to think right from a team standpoint. And they know how to practice. And believe me, that's a big statement. That's not always the case. I've been around Geno quite a lot through USA Basketball; we see the game quite similarly in many ways."
