Its only rain outside.

Enjoy your weekend and your week there's not much more we can do but cheer and cheer some more. And we can't do that until the Coppin State game.

um, we lost to Yale at home. Any realist can see that last night's result is pretty alarming.

and you get to define "realist"?

I might suggest any realist would remain optimistic based on history, experience and observation.

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, people might not like that type of radical thinking

you're actually the debbie downer in their world

Yale is a legit top-100 team.

It's not the end of the world, but let's not sugar-coat things.

This season is starting to take on a 2012ish feel, only it doesn't have anywhere near as much talent.

What color is the sky in your world?

While this team has enough to bounce back, let's not call Yale anything more than they are to make ourselves feel better about the fact that the UConn team on the floor last night sucked.

I was using metrics and math but if you want to panic instead, it's a free country.

if this year's team fails to make the ncaa tourney.
it goes down as the most disappointing team in uconn history

Without the injuries, this game is the equivalent of a close win like UConn experiences every year. You can't have your only ballhandler hurt or you're in trouble.

That being said, when you lose to Yale when you're up by 4 with seconds left, you're either showing your youth or else incompetence.

How can you say that after 2012?

Personally, 2006 will always be the year for that for me, but 2012 will easily beat this year. No matter what happens.

Rhetorical question: how would the fanbase be reacting if we had eked out the W in the Texas and Yale games? We'd probably be getting amped for Duke. The pieces aren't fitting right now, and a bunch of them are new pieces. And guys like Brimah / Nolan / Facey haven't progressed from their roles last year. We need to get better, soon. I think we can. I think some folks had inflated expectations for this year, but that happens when you win 4 NC's.

9/10 had 3 seniors that were supposed to take us far, and Kemba as a Sophomore (it's also the season that was responsible for our two APR punishments)

11/12 had every key player returning sans Kemba plus the additions of AD & DD
