The Road to 12 Ep. 6: Inside UConn Women's Basketball Practices

That was interesting. I first saw it in this thread:

You heard what the male player said........Deberry has an excellent offensive game...........it's just a shame we have yet to really see it.........she needs minutes to progress but for whatever reason she's not getting them.........I'm still hopeful we will see more from her as the season progresses but not counting on it.....:(

I loved the comment on how strong they were. You don't hear that coming from a guy often. He commented on CW and AE in particular for strength and AE for hitting him in the chest and knocking the wind out of him. You could tell these things were not easy to admit ;).

$10 it's about learning and executing the defensive rotations.

What great insight. Kudos to Spencer Murray (who BTW also asked some good questions - maybe he has a future as a UCONN beat reporter!!), and LOVED the shout out to Amari.

Even Geno has said she's one of the most skilled bigs to come to UCONN. I am guessing that at least one reason she's not seeing a lot of PT is because she 1) doesn't know the plays and/or 2) doesn't know the position to be in on offense and/or defense.

This is not a knock on her, but it takes time for post players to get up to speed in the college game. One might ask "well what about Dorka"? Yeah, but she had 3 years at tOSU before getting to UCONN. She's been playing college ball for 3 years. I'm guessing everything about her is more advanced compared to Amari.

Can't wait to see how Amari develops tho. Did anyone notice her demeanor on the sidelines during the Tennessee game? I'm not sure I've EVER seen a bench player SO dialed in and so fired up in supporting the team before. Good for her! She's got a VERY bright future.

Hard not to notice
