This has been a disappointing year. However, we can still end it on a high.

Here is what I would like to see:

Wins vs. Sacred Heart and UMass.

Being in the game in the 4th quarter against a good James Madison team.

Not getting blown out against Tennessee (keeping it within 20).

My prediction:

@ Tennessee L
@ James Madison L
Sacred Heart W
UMass W

If we keep it within 20 against Tennessee then we can beat James Madison.

If we cut down on mistakes and stupidity we have a shot against JMU. I kind of like the fact we play Tennessee before them.

I voted for 3 wins for the season but that is a stretch goal. We will beat SHU. We will lose to Tennessee and JMU. UMass is a toss-up and I do not have a good feeling.

1-Need to come out of the TN game without any injuries to our best players. Main goal. I don’t really care how much we lose by.

2-Be competitive vs JMU

3-Beat SHU & UMass convincing

I will take that path to an off-season where lots of important changes are made.

Season overview: flashes of brilliance that are overwhelmed by constant self shooting in the feet. Heart wants 4 wins, brain says 2.

We might kill UMass. It really depends if we defend like we did against BC. It seems like our D plays to the competition, leaving us a little behind no matter who we play. Our offense is getting better as we learn to throw vertical more.

With decent coaching, we beat UMass. My fear is that we take a lead and go into turtle mode. Don Brown is always balls to the wall. If we turtle, he’ll beat us.

222 yards on offense, 10 1st downs and 14 points. Not sure would call that getting better. There were some outstanding plays and several guys showed out but overall offense is #115 out of 130 listed by NCAA @19.8 points per game. There wasn't a SINGLE winning team this week that scored as little as UConn's average points per game, never mind the 14 UConn actually scored this week.

Nick Charlton has to go.

We simply don’t have an FBS level offense.
