The problem isn't the talent, it's the lack of experience and on court leadership. This is a team made up of mainly freshman/sophomores who are simply not used to playing at this level yet and there are no on the court leaders to calm them down in-game. There is no Kemba, no 'Bazz, hell not even a Boatright to guide these kids. Purvis/Facey and Brimah all seem like great kids and bleed blue but simply are horrible basketball players whose "leadership" doesn't help on the court.
The positive though is that this team does have a ton of raw talent, but is just wayyy too young to put it together right now. Hopefully as the season goes on they will and possibly win the league tourney and sneak in, but this reminds me of the '07 team that won 15 games or so I believe and then 2 seasons later was in the final four.
