They have much lower infection rates than the US, which leads the world in per-capita infection. It is spiking in the UK now and a spike is coming our way unless people start wearing masks, socially distancing, and washing their hands.

It's funny as i don't think any of the country west of Texas even cares if the Pac 12 plays football or not. They've really become irrelevant in the national college football psyche.

UConn not playing is a non-story. A P5 conference that covers states with close to 25% of the nations population deciding to play is Don.
 
I feel like ESPN is probably pushing for this behind the scenes as it needs the west coast games to fill in the late night schedules for the east coast.
