The old big east and this years tournament

I just had a thought ... last year's final four had three BE members and a Pac10 team. I would put the chances of a repeat of that scenario as pretty high especially if you include WV in the mix. Obviously Uconn and ND are favored to make the FF, and with Stanford feeling slighted and playing the regional on their home floor, you have to like their chances of getting to the FF. And with both Louisville and WV in the last region as the 2/3 seeds with a less than consistent TN and playing in Louisville ...
I think that would certainly be a fitting tribute to the Old Big East the year after its demise.

Did anyone watch the 30 for 30 on ESPN entitled "Requiem for the Big East."

An excellent two hours. Had they devoted more time to the conference achievements beyond 1990 and to the success of Big East WCBB, it could have gone on for another six hours. The St. John's-Georgetown "sweater game" at The Garden in 1985 brought back a lot of memories.
