Purvis makes 7 mistakes for every positive. He killed us tonight. It's a long season so he has plenty of time to grow, but he's not close to as advertised. I don't think ankle hampered him tonight.

Rodney Purvis needs to figure out how to become an asset. He is a liability right now. Poor outside shooting. Poor decision making. UConn played better when he was on the bench.

Hope TSam is all right. He played very good defense the second half and importantly attacked.

Defense was actually quite good all night. Duke is a very good offensive team and they just shot 37.5% and 26.3%. The murdered UConn at the FT line with 34 FTAs. That will kill you every time especially when a lot are touch fouls that aren't called both ways. The Tech on Samuel was esp galling as the exact same thing happened to Boat in the first half with no call.

This is why Duke always chokes in the tournament. They get babied the whole year, but once the refs stop putting them on the line 34 times a game, they won't know how to make it up in scoring. They'll be done by the sweet 16, regardless of if we're there or not.

Did you actually read any of the posts? No one here is blaming the refs - only pointing out that they were horrible (which they were).

When Nolan got that charge call the first thing I thought of was "My God, we've become Duke!!" That was a a master Dukie flop.

FYI - Everyone thought is was very unsportsmanlike that the Duke Cheerleaders' started doing a routine while the medical staff looked at TSam until some from Duke's bench told them to stop.
