I think about the years of Lucas Duda, James Looney, Ike Davis, Dom Smith, Wilmer Flores, Tony Clark, Todd Zeile, Butch Husky, Rico Brogna…I don’t want to go back to something like that. Pete has his flaws but he is worlds better than what we’ve had over the last 20 years. If there’s a John Olereud or Carlos Delgado floating around out there for less money than Pete then ok, I’m all for it. I just don’t know who that option is with Guerrero re-upping with Toronto.
