The Official 2025 New York Giants Thread

Giants defensive line is insane. McShay, Orlovsky, and obviously Daboll really like Dart so im comfortable with the pick.
Would tbey dare go Burns, Lawrence, this Toledo kid, and Thibodeau with Carter roaming the middle? Carter can move around anywhere ala Parsons

The defense is gonna be loaded next year, which they're gonna need with their schedule and offense.

Burns / Lawrence / Alexander / Carter / Thibodeaux

Okereke / McFadden

Adebo / Holland / Nubin / Banks / Phillips

Hoping they take Cam Skattebo at 105 tomorrow now, that would give them a real solid offensive core too

Also included are their other UFA pickups at DL/LB: Golston, Robertson-Harris, Ledbetter, all of which were signed for a grand total of just 30M.

Well done, Mr. Kiper!

Just read that when Skattebo was a little kid he’d put on his brothers pads and run into the telephone pole outside their house over and over.

The exact mentality you want from a fullback.

Can't spell Cam Skattebo without CTE.

Jokes aside, I'm nothing but impressed with this offseason so far. For how many directions it could have gone, there's some stability and hope for next year and beyond.

Schoen and Daboll killed this draft. I've talked myself into this team winning 7 games next year, which would be impressive with their schedule. Then you insert Dart into a talented core in 2026

The Giants are certainly better on paper. Daboll no longer has an excuse if the season goes sideways.

Funny that Carter asked LT if he would allow Carter to unretire #56 and LT told him to pick his own number and make it famous. I actually agree with LT's take, but I admire the self-confidence that Carter shows in even thinking he's in a position to ask the question.

I was originally a bit disappointed in the Dart pick over Sanders but when I see how far Sanders fell and see the reason why I changed my tune on that. A very good draft, I just wanna see this defense just smash qbs. Cam Skattebo actually does remind of the football version of Cam Spencer.

Having that token playoff year in Daboll and Schoen first year I feel set the franchise back a bit as fun as that year was. The Mara's weren't moving on from Jones after winning a playoff game and having no qb in the fold. That year was supposed to be the year before the rebuild year.

The following year starting 1-6, with Jones out for the year was when the full tank job should've started. I know Devito won those meaningless games down the stretch but let's be real it was Saquon, it was stupid to not trade him especially when you knew he wasn't coming back. Those meaningless wins cost us Williams, Daniels or May but hey what's done is done.

Just glad we can actually watch a team without having to hope to having a tank job for another qb, hopefully anyways. I like Wilson on a 1 year deal.

This feels like a team that should be competitive and we won't be rooting for a tank job by week 4. I'd like to see them bring in another solid WR, but otherwise feeling pretty good about the roster post draft

As in most seasons, this team will go as far as their offensive line lets them. If Wilson and company are constantly running for their lives, it will be a long season.

On paper, and from what we've seen last year, looking at the added depth, the OL (if healthy) should be serviceable and able to control enough to let Wilson work.

Very good game from Dart and more importantly, the starting OL looked good.

I'm cautiously optimistic as I like a lot of what I'm seeing. I am however very concerned about our run defense and my concern is that it is as much a schematic issue as it is a personnel issue.

If we can't stop the run nothing else matters.

I want to get excited, but I feel like I've fallen for the hype too many times at this point that I'm a bit gun shy. I like the way the defensive line can pressure the QB. That will make a shaky defensive back field look much better. Biggest concern for me, as it's been for the past many years, is the offensive line. No QB can succeed consistently if they're always running for their lives. Hope springs eternal.

I can't believe the players the giants are waiving. It's like they don't want to win. How do you waive Dante Miller but you are going to keep Singletary? Why waive Devito when you can capitalize on trading him or Winston for something in return? Even keep 4 quarterbacks for a bit after the 53 man cut and take your best trade offer over the first couple weeks when quarterbacks start going down.. Elijah Chatman gets the team into the end zone from the 1 yard line or opens the door for short yardage 1st downs, besides being Dline depth, we certainly don't need that. Dulcich looked like a player. Hyatt can only run in a straight line, can't break a tackle, and drops balls, must be a keeper. The tight end room is filled with good players, put a big target wide in space and waive the guy who can't catch. If they drop Gunnar O. I'll be back to complain more. Waiving Dante Miller is criminal. They better not be keeping Ward instead. Talk about draining optimism before the season starts.

I have had numerous gripes about the team's current leadership and I am not in agreement with a lot of what they've done.

Supposedly (from a handful of talking heads/alleged experts) both DeVito and Chapman will clear waivers and end up on the practice squad. I hope this is what happens, at least with Chapman as he is a useful piece.

I don't get the love for Singletary and Schoen's comment when they signed him (that he can do what Barkley can at a better price) should have gotten Schoen fired.

Every single player you just listed is likely to be back on the practice squad. And some will even be on the main roster by tomorrow. I'm sure Greg Dulcich will be back when Theo Johnson goes on IR. But these are all 4th stringers being forced off the roster by super talented young players, so I don't know why you'd lose your optimism

Devito having trade value lmao tell your joking, Winston wouldn't get you anything more then a late 6th and that's pushing it.

No but he'll be claimed. So will Dulcich.
