This team has scored 20, 22, 6. 28, and 13 points against some of the weakest defenses in country.

Worse, any blitz goes unblocked.

Even worse, can't even get the play to the huddle in time.

I love my Huskies but they are flat out awful on offense.

Defense hasn't looked good the last 2 weeks either. Without BYU mistakes this score is a lot worse. Fumble on their first drive, dropped TD pass in the end zone and two botched FG's. BYU only scoring 7 in the first half was done with smoke and mirrors(and BYU miscues). I'm starting to think the defensive performance at Missouri was more a testament on how much Missouri's offense sucked. I do agree on the offense though. The running game is worse than last year but the passing game is better. So basically the points scored is the same.

I pray that one day I will see this offense pass on either first or second down.

I kind of like the semi hurry up offense. I think it was mid 3rd quarter when we started running it, and coincidentally, started moving the ball. We can still be the power offense Diaco wants with a faster paced offense and a tad more shotgun early in games.

I think most of the 1st and 2nd down calls have been good. It's 3rd down calls where they run a play that takes 12 seconds to develop to the first option.

UConn's offense has been inept for years now. And, the program will continue to struggle (or maybe flounder) until they can put an offense on the field that can score 4, 5 or 6 TDs a game with some semblance of regularity.

Yes it is. And it's too bad because for the most part our defense has been good enough to hang with anyone. But you can't win without scoring points. If you have to hold your opponent to under 2 TDs a game you're gonna lose a lot of games.

Every year, man. It's been so freaking long since we could score a reasonable amount of points.

I agree, but the delay in getting our play calls in, given our current system of looking to the sideline, wouldn't even let a team like Oregon play fast.

Apologies to the dead horse, but...

Realizing our team is what it is roster-wise, we need to see a steeper/quicker curve as OL development goes. It seems way slower than you would think/hope and has been a disappointment thus far.

And... We need to sign more B1G UGLIES going forward!

Shirreffs and our talented receivers with more time to run routes = POINTS and WINNING!

Our offensive line looked ok against Villanova and Army. Now we are playing the big boys and they are really struggling. The tight ends and the running backs are still below average blockers as well. Shirreffs had no chance out there.

I would sign up for 4 TDs per game in a heartbeat right now.

I guess Foley was the problem last year. Now that Patterson is coaching the OL alll of the problems went away.oh wait.... how about replacing guys who can't block? At least give abother guy a shot. The starters must be practice heroes because they are gamete zeroes.

I'm not picking on you, just using your comment as a springboard. I hear from Diaco quotes and read on our board about the talented receivers, but I haven't seen it. The receivers and tight ends drop too many catchable passes and it seems like there's little if any YAC. The only thing I see working on offense is giving the ball to Newsome. A decent OL and he'd be running all over the field.

I agree, the on-the-job training of Cummings last year and Verducci this year is making for some pretty ugly offense.

It's all up front.
It's a lot upfront.

But the inability to get the play to huddle points to confusion on the sideline or upstairs. And that problem existed all night.

Dropped passes also made an impact and has for a couple of weeks.

It is, but I feel we'll get there. Diaco is like an Edsall that would actually run a quality offense. That is a compliment too. I really like our defense, even though I don't like too much of that zone.

I've seen it, albeit, inconsistently. The talent is there, Shirreffs and the receivers just don't have the time they need to fully utilize/show it. Whether it's running or passing, the OL has a big part in determining how successful it will be.

Saban and Les Miles have this happen at least once a game too. You just hope your coaches get better.
