The new Big 12 Network off to a rocky start

Big 12 - "We're gonna start a television network"!

Oklahoma - "Ah...no".

The Big 12 is now my favorite conference. I like their motto, We're All in this Together Except When We're Not.

Beebe was the least of their problems. In the past 48 hours, they've invited West Virginia and then told West Virginia they might be changing their mind. They've announced a television network only to have Oklahoma wonder publicly how exactly that network will run without Oklahoma and Texas being on it.

They can't even lose a team properly. At least the Big East has that down pat - we lost Syracuse and Pittsburgh in 20 minutes. TCU left via email.

Mizzou should join the Big East for an hour and then go to the SEC - the exit ramps seem to be easier to find here.

Even their motto is wimpy. It's not as good as the Big East's:

We're All in this Together (Even as we're all secretly & not-so-secretly begging each and every conference that is expanding or might think about expanding in the next 50 years to please please pretty-please take us)

OU twice (TWICE!!!) had lengthy discussions with the P-12 (it was actually the P-10 the first time), had that conference convinced they were joining only to tell them they needed to discuss it with the B-12 before making a decision.

The Big12 Commish, the guy who disinvited WV, announced a bogus TV network, said weird things about Missouri staying, is also the guy who recommended Pasqualoni to UConn.

I thought McGee was Neinas' recommendation. The issue with that was it gave Hathaway the cover to fly to Dallas (to interview the Arkansas assistant) and also interview Pasqualoni (who the Ct HS coaches wanted) during the same trip (without anyone knowing).

Not if they go to 12. Yeah, 4 may eventually go off to the PAC, but what conference is going to have interest in ANY of the other 8?

Maybe WVU or TCU someday, but not for a while.
