Check out their average home attendance. It's in the triple digits. You think they'll draw any significant crowd in Storrs when they can't even draw more than several hundred at home? It is a joke to think Syracuse is going to fill Gampel with anything more than a number of fans that might fit in two buses and a few minivans or cars.
Actually, this year it appears average attendance has jumped (as it should with last years success.) It looked like conference games were alternating between 900 and around 1600, with the exception of the ND game (some special promotion or big weekend) where they got 11,000! (At least according to their stats pages.) And while Syracuse support for WCBB is notoriously bad, they do have a lot of grads in the NYC metro area so might actually draw better in CT than in Syracuse as far as their graduates.
